Equal to jacketed data for a bullet of comparable weight. I want that flat trajectory, and will alloy+ heat treat a bullet strong enough to handle the pressure.xdmalder wrote:GunFunZS wrote:

Before you reinvent the wheel why not peruse the selection over at Noe's website? http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/index.php?cPath=30_360 Thanks for the response. "Why reinvent the wheel?" Answer #1-- I have looked through NOE, as well as the other manufacturers. It seems no one is making a b...

Re: 30 Mauser Dies For .300BLK Pistol Bullets?
Keep in mind I used my .38/.357 powder thru expanding die with the .30 carbine PTE plug. If you order one also order the .32ACP PTE plug and the .30 mauser bullet seater plug. The .32 ACP will give more neck expansion if you need it for boolits. Thanks for the clarification. I would have ordered th...

Re: 30 Mauser Dies For .300BLK Pistol Bullets?
I still think I want this 30 mauser charging die simply to free up my rifle charging die and because it centers and flares intentionally. Keep in mind I used my .38/.357 powder thru expanding die with the .30 carbine PTE plug. If you order one also order the .32ACP PTE plug and the .30 mauser bulle...

Cut down a CTL 312-160-2r Mold to make a ~116 grain SS bullet?
I've done a few searches with no results, both here and at castboolits. I know this has been done for other molds, but can't find anything for this. Basically the idea is to take the standard Lee 160 grain tumble lube mold and mill off the portion of the mold which makes the gas check shank and the ...

Re: 30 Mauser Dies For .300BLK Pistol Bullets?
SO, you guys got me thinking. I almost bought Hornady dies and the expander but I went on Lee Precision's site and started looking at die parts. Ordered a .30 Carbine powder thru expander plug, .30 Mauser bullet seater plug, and a .32 ACP powder thru expander plug in case the .30carb wasn't big eno...

Re: What type of the powder by the pound is best?
I use TGIC polyester that is baked at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes depending on batch size. A normal batch is 15-20 pounds. That powder will not stack on the bullets so no matter how much powder you use it only adds about .001" . Look up TWO 6001 for the powder I use most. Hey, old friend, it...

Re: Barrel preference
Has anyone tried the faxon 16" barrel with the carbine length gas and enlarged port? I'm looking to put a gun together specifically for 3 gun, but I would like it to run the full range of ammo from subs to supers. I probably don't need the very best precision on the market, but I don't want POI...
