Re: M80 147 grn starting point?
TeryPhish came over (Dave) and we did some re-loading and shooting. It works out well at my house .. He can shoot from his wheelchair out my front door into my backstop 75 yards ways. We loaded up some 210 gr Lead and 152 M2 Ball. Both at 975 fps with W231. Nice loads.. With my Mystic they are VERY...

Re: Best Powders for 147 gr, 150 gr, & 168 gr bullets.
How did you get 19.5grs of 5744 in a 300blk case, let alone put a bullet on top of it? 20 gr is just under the mouth.. 18 gr is the shoulder This was a VERY old post... FYI. I also said it was an OVER MAX load so should not be replicated. I don't have any notes for this. It was my early testing usi...

Re: Lee Dies do not bump the shoulder as do the Forster set
you are better off at the high side anyway... I have had brass that was in spec (min) when sorted but when chsmbered and fired the firing pin strike with AR thick primers the brass moved forward and has a light strike. no fire.. then re measured and now was low spec! freaking insane.. i have sorted ...

Re: Reliability vs. 5.56?
I agree sbout the early ammo. most was cut n reformed with short headspace often causing the light primer strikes.. Even Rem factory brass had the problem infrequently. I had one box of 2 k that was pretty bad and they replaced it. I then checked my reformed brass from two different sources.. I had ...

Re: Magpul threatens to leave Colorado
Hmm, is anyone upset that Magpul has publicly stated that they will continue to sell 30rd. mags to LEO in states that ban 8+ etc. round mags? Idk, still the best mags hands down. If they move to a red state at least there tax revenue won't be going to libs but still, something to think about. Now i...

Re: Need load data for Missouri Bullet 245g for blackout
I had them cycling at 730 fps IIRC At that slow I would be worried about stability ... Did you try it for stability at that FPS? I should measure it and enter it into my stability program. seem close to me in a 1:8 anyway. Add a small air pocket (n additional risk factor with cast bullets)... but c...

Just saying at 20 below zero i have lots of problems.. full auto the water in the action from powder gasses freezes quickly. Have to use M...

Re: New mags for special uses - and Wolf ammunition.
I have had no problems with the new polymer coated casesthe old lacquer ones were a mess. In the winter they are a bit underpowered... bimetal.. do you shoot 308 ammo in brass cases with copper coated steel bullets? Many say this will not hurt your rifle.. then others say even 100 will harm a custom...
