Re: Micro-pistols

I have not yet chrono'd the bullets. However there are several charts out on the web the provide approximate values for muzzle energy based on barrel length. Personally, I would not want to be on the receiving end regardless of what the actual muzzle energy is. When the project is finished I will ha...

Micro-pistols

Yes, I know. Too loud. Fireball will burn the hair off your knuckles. Under/overgassed. Unreliable. Insufficient velocity for expansion/fragmentation. I say: Bring on the boom boom. Use a good muzzle device. Adjustable gas block. Lightweight bolt carrier with short, heavy buffer & spring. Modern...

Re: SBR Issue - Faxon 10.5”

I was having accuracy (extreme spread) issues with a 10.5", 1:8 ARStoner barrel. Everything I read about the caliber suggested that long, slow, and heavy projectiles in the 200 - 220 gr range are at the edge of the stability envelope at 1:8 twist. I switched to a 1:7 barrel and the issues disap...

Re: awful experience with Smith and Sons Meat Processing in Mt.Pleasant, MI

Every game processor I have every dealt with ends up with extra meat at the end of the season from people who never come back and pay for the processing service. They don't actually sell the meat at the end of the season - they offer it to anyone who is willing to pay the processing fee.
