First 300 Blk Kill

I finally drew blood with my 300 Blk pistol build (8" barrel, Dead Air Nomad - L, Barnes TAC-TX 110 gr.). I tried to pull the trigger on a buck last season, however the bolt was slightly out of battery (my fault). I eventually got that same deer but with another rifle. So this big bodied buck w...

Tax Stamp Tuesday, A Christmas Miracle!!!

Well, I got a surprise call from my local dealer this morning. My tax stamp was approved in just under six months! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50723658233_2cb85248b2_z.jpg The handguard to suppressor clearance is perfect. This is direct threaded. I'm not going to get into QD mounts anytime s...

Re: Muzzle to Handguard Clearance

Completely agree with the frustration and that we the people continue to allow it. The NFA was a model vehicle for continued government expansion of power. It will never end until people stop believing the federal government is the answer to everything. From there it will be a long road to recovery....

Dead Air Nomad-L order placed on Friday with Silencer Shop. It was such an easy process using their website and kiosk (although the fingerprinting was a little hard at first). Re: Muzzle to Handguard Clearance

I think I got a good enough answer from Dead Air to proceed. I emailed them and got a quick response. The hex extension protrudes about .220" from the rear of the mount. The direct thread adapters have spanner wrench slots on the sides that may help out with your setup. The Keymo adapter will h...

Muzzle to Handguard Clearance

I am about to order my first suppressor. I'm leaning toward a Dead Air Nomad 30 or Nomad L. https://deadairsilencers.com/products/nomad/ The can will be for my 300BLK, 308, and 6.5 Grendel. There's plenty of muzzle to handguard clearance on the latter two, but on the 300BLK it's really tight. I'm co...

Re: New Here + First 300 BLK Build

It may well be better to just keep it as a pistol rather than have to go through BATFE notifications when I want to cross the border. And to your point it works well no matter how you use it. You permission slip for border crossings can cover up to 1 year at a time. Send the form in once a year and...

Re: Multi-cal silencer...which is a better value?

I was looking to do direct thread on the 9mm pistol and quick attach on the AR. You are right that I could do it cheaper on the Mystic X by going direct thread on both weapons, versus trying to replicate the attachment options that Griffin includes. Cleaning ease is definitely a strong consideration...

Multi-cal silencer...which is a better value?

I am about to dip my toes in the NFA world and would like a multi-caliber silencer for my first one. I will probably buy more later, but I'd like this first purchase to cover .22, 9mm, and 300 BLK. I have a CZ P-09 with a threaded barrel, as well as their .22 Kadet kit (and will plan to have that ba...
