It’s a fun little cartridge. I have one in a 16” bolt gun and a 10” AR-15 pistol. I like to experiment with subs and supers out of both guns and enjoy them both for what they are. But I mostly like the cartridge because my wife likes to shoot it and this makes me happy.

I’ve got a bag full of 147 tracers and shoot them at around 950 fps with my RARR. Makes for a good time in the backyard. They burn bright pink and will continue burning underwater. Lights up the creek behind our house. Not sure how to post a video here but I’ve got a neat one from a few years ago.

Just to add to the discussion, I’m getting an average of 2428 fps out of my 10” 300 BLK with 22.0 grains of Win 296, Win brass, and CCI 450’s, and a little over 2800 in my 16” RARR using 23.5 grains of Win 296. Both were loaded at a COAL of 2.068”.
