I also found a bag of sabot sleeves for .22 to .308.....My thoughts were that I could make a small game round to use in my single shot AAC during deer season. Years ago, I tried .22 sabot in a 30-30 and it worked okay at short range. At 200 yds, I had no idea where the bullet went.

I have used Sierra 125s with IMR 4227 for a couple years now. Real happy with performance and saw it work yesterday at 100 yards on a nice doe.

I can do a sulpher cast. I bought an old remington rolling block one time (at a garage sale for $100) and had to sulpher cast it just to figure out what it was. Turned out to be some metric cartridge.

Like I said, my M700 doesn't have these issues.
I also put iron sights on my other AAC Handi and it shoots 220s at close range just fine.

What kind of range and groups can you expect from an AAC handi???? At fifty yards, I am good. Shooting 125 gr spire with 15 gr of 4227. At 100yds, I am grouping large like 5 inches. At 200 yds, I am off the target. I don't have this problem shooting same load in Rem 700.
