(Found What I Need) WTB: LEE 300 BLK Die Set (s)

Found What I Need Before I go buy another new set, I thought I would check to see if anyone who didn't particularly care for theirs would be interested in getting some of their money back. I know some guys don't like them and no sense having them collect dust if you're using something you like bett...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

I don't care who gets the last word...as long as its not Jeff H...  You're a good man, 20X11. Thanks for bailing me out. I haven't been here for a while and I know this is an old thread but I came across "new information" which will be of interest. I am not arguing the p...

Excellent point - which makes sooty cases and what seems like "enough" H110 make sense.

Re: problems loading for the black out

Considering this one bit of information by itself, "really dirty cases," meaning they have black, sooty deposits on them and sometimes have powder residue on them, are usually an indication of not enough pressure to expand the case to the point that it fully seals the chamber. It is possib...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

...next time we feel inclined to post that we should call or email Alliant/ATK instead......to me that screams that you are a guy who really likes to get the last word. Oh, come on now. How can I NOT reply to THAT? Now, be fair and don't not respond if you feel compelled to just to make me ha...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

Bear with me - I sense the thread sliding toward us feeling as we must pick sides between two people none of us know and who do not even post here and I want to ask if that part of the original question is even pertinent to our objectives. All else aside, we can rationalize anything we want, but Pau...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

......... it's about the fact that Alliant asserts that H110, 296 and 300 MP are the same...... .....I wouldn't call it a FACT yet. We have two quotes from Alliant employees and they tell us completely opposite "FACTs". I am not sure you should accept either as FACT for now......work up l...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

............Lots of powder (old or new aside) can vary in energy output by as much as 15%. That's why every time you have a load you have developed, and you change powder LOTS (not powders), you should rework your load to verify that the powder is behaving as expected..................I don't alway...

Re: 300 MP - Is It Really H110? Alliant Says it IS

.........The fact, based on my reloading and range sessions, is that 300MP is more consistent, thus more accurate, over a broader range of charge weights than H110/W296 is. And that was it's attraction when I bought it - but I am reluctant to open it now. With what we are hearing, I am starting to ...
