That must be quite the friend! I don't like anyone enough to process 300 BLK brass for them.

Re: Speer TNT 125 Load Assistance

Well, I've got some good news to update with. After taking the awesome advice you guys had here, I went back and tried another string of loads. I pretty much duplicated the last batch except for the following updates. Shooting was done at the same range from the same distance. -All WFT-trimmed brass...

Re: Barnes Tac-TX 110gr vs Lehigh Defense 110gr Gorilla Ammo

...bulk packs of the Speer TNT 125grn are typically lower cost than 150grn FMJ's and POA/POI difference from your 110gr loads is minimal. The TNT's rarely have feed/chambering issues as well. And that's one of he reasons I'm loading the TNT right now. I may not have that load down yet, but it has f...

Re: going big bore - Gun porn for those who like it thick :)

Wow, that's big. Looks like you've got a bit of bench time in front of you to shoot that ladder! .70 a pomp for once fired ain't no joke. Do you have a brass catcher? On the lower; I know you're against it, but I would probably just bite the bullet and get a lower. I know all of my uppers magically ...

Re: Speer TNT 125 Load Assistance

Quick question. Would it be worth it t use a laser temp. gauge to manage barrel temps between strings? Or, is the grab the barrel method God enough?

Re: Speer TNT 125 Load Assistance

Howdy, I load the Speer 125gr TNT bullet too using H110 powder. My current load is 18.1grs ( not sure about OAL , will check when I get home ) and with my new Caldwell chrony they average 2033 ft/sec from my 10.5" barrel. When I load more 125 TNTs I'm going to bump up the charge to 18.2 or may...

Re: Speer TNT 125 Load Assistance

Ok, back in the loading room. Here's what I found out about the WFT trimmed brass vs my usual manually trimmed brass. On the left is my manually processed brass, on the right is the WFT trimmed brass. I was very careful guiding the bullet into the seating die on both, but you can see the copper shav...

Re: Speer TNT 125 Load Assistance

^^^^ a true statement. Kind of a catch-22 situation if you were trying to combine the 2 operations of grouping & FPS by using a "barrel mounted" device. The next session will have two extra rounds per string just to do velocity measurements. I plan on shooting all of the groups in seq...

Re: 300blk - great for training

Very cool. Glad you're passing it down. I laughed a bit though, because I had to do a double take when I was scrolling down past the bottom of the picture. It looked like you had his ankle chained to the shooting bench! Upon closer examination its obvious that it's the chair that's chained, bu...
