I had one. Worked pretty good.

Sold it and bought an AMP. Money well spent. Flip a switch and walk away.

Re: Looking for advice on 300 blk crimps

Neck tension holds the bullet in place. Crimp keeps it from moving around during feeding.

Measure the ID of a FL resized case. It should be around .303-305.

Re: Looking for Feedback on My RL1100 Setup

I have used a few different trim dies. CH4D, Dillon and GSI. I stuck with the Dillon carbide in the end. I use the Forster dies on my 1050 for 300. I am using the 30 Carbine powder funnel to help open up the neck a bit more and for a crimp die the Lee collet crimp die is excellent. About the only th...

Re: Bolt action specific subsonic loads.

I have been playing with my 16.5 inch barrel DTA bolt gun lately. Quietest ammo I have found is 215gn Berger Hybrid 6.3 Bullseye Lapua brass Federal SR Primer Loaded just off the rifling Velocity is 1025 with a 23 ES over 10 shots. Accuracy is around 1 MOA. I am going to play with seating depth to t...

Re: sns castings

That flat point certainly won't help feeding.

I have had good luck with Eggleston coated bullets in my 300.

I just got my 30PS back from Ray at TBAC. They had it less than a week to upgrade to the ultra baffle stack, convert to brake attach from direct thread and cerakote black again. My initial impressions were that the can was much lighter now and the machine/welding was top notch. You couldn't even tel...

Re: 230 Bergers and the 300 Whisper

I am sure I could get it quieter if I switched powders, but my accuracy is excellent and the ES/SD is so low with N-110, I am tempted to just stop experimenting and go with it. Here is the video of it. Shooting at a 6x6 plate at 300 yards. Camera set up just like a sound meter would be for a no-shit...
