Re: Is it possible to load 147 grain subsonic?
Both Unique and Trail boss will work with 150 gr bullets. Trailboss may have a more uniform less load change sensitivity (better for volumetric loading), Unique = quiet and will work well too. I use American Select with 152 gr ball and it's my favorite plinking jacketed sub I have loaded many hundre...

Re: sbr question
you need to be able to return it to the ORIGINAL form 1 condition... so it the upper is a .223 10" upper and you have a 10" 300 BLK upper.. keep the original Form 1 upper with you so you can return it to the registered condition... or so I was told. Only exception is if you return it to a ...

Re: Question on shooting subs and supers
I like to fiddle and play with different weight subs. The AR is NOT the platform for that. To favor the mid weight bullets a pistol length gas system, and adjustable gas port is the best.. but I just shoot these fun loads with my Bolt or Handi single shot. My Carbine length fixed gas port PSA upper ...

Re: I am now an nra certified pistol instructor
Welcome to the club! Had mine for over 25 years now. Pistol, Rifle , Shotgun.. Love teaching.. I no longer do large classes but one on one limited.... Love to help people overcome technique problems. Sometimes the OLD way is better than the new fancy way. Make every shot count.
Congrats!

Re: missouri 245 gr
Make sure it's stable in your rifle. I woudl not shoot it under 950 FPS in a 1:8 twist. Also In MY PSA upper it will not feed reliably. Note.. Lots of lead build up in my BCG, my gun fouls and starts to not feed after a mag. Lead vapor condenses in your gas system. Just shoot 30 and take your bolt o...

Re: Hodgdon Lil'Gun Load Data Only ***5 Best Loads Page 16*
I have found the CCI 400 to be a hotter than the Rem 7.5. Loads that are safe with a Rem 7.5 in my guns are to hot with the CCI 400. Just MY experience. I thought the cup was just thinner in the CCI but then when I measuring the brass web the pressure was higher in the CCI primed loads. Could be the...

"Hornady does state in there latest edition that w296 and h110 are different as well. So hornady must know something we don't!" Don't show this to Robert! LOL. RE Cast bullets in AR.... Lead in Silencer, gas system, and BCG? My Mystic is OK to clean but my BCG is a PITA to chip the lead ou...

Re: 90 grain XTP trial for Handi
I tried a LOT of powders the ONLY powder that would work was TrailBoss. The others may work kinda.. but the loads are to sensitive. insane ES. With Trail boss you get a huge improvement. Keep looking for Trail Boss. Is worth the wait.
One of my favorite loads!

Re: A1680 208 A-Max Subsonic load 11.3" SBR
10.8 gr A1680 is what I use in my 16" AR upper. Like all 1680 AR loads wide ES, but functions well with and w/o a silencer. At times I like it better than the 220 SMK load. Granted I use Win converted brass with the 208 and Rem AAC Blackout brass with the 220 SMK, that may have something to do ...

90 gr XTP .30 cal pistol bullet.. Trail boss is the only powder I could get to work. Fun deadly vermin killer.
