I really like the concept and was interested until I saw $300 which is cost prohibitive for what you get. They are the only game in town at this time however. I will wait a year or two for the price to come down.

Ended up picking it up from Rainier Arms for 239 plus shipping. This is the newest all steel Gen 3 version. It adds 6 oz. to the weight.

Just installed on one of my SBRs. Very nice and gives some new options for both carry and packing. All steel and very well made/engineered. No need for a proprietary buffer retainer as in previous gen.

How long does it take to get out of the backpack and into shooting condition?

I saw pics of that working with the jp scs. They had to make something for it to work but I cannot remember what. I saw it either on this forum, or silencertalk.

Hardcase..Carrying in the back pack is only for transport when hiking, etc. If I need quick access to a weapon that's what the 1911 is for. To answer your question, it takes less than 15 secs to drop the pack, rip it open, extract the sbr, extend the stock and pull the trigger. Not a quick response weapon but fast enough if I need to get to it.

Length folded is 21' from end of FH to furthest point at hinge with 10 1/2" barrel. I also have a Liberty Leonidas integral that I can attach to this lower. It really shortens that one up 26 1/2" folded (16.25" to end of suppressor).
