I have some of those 110's too.. mine are moving closer to 2400. I hope they open up t that vel.

The 90XTP is a nice prize! I grabbed 200 at 12$ a box last month. But they will not feed from the RAR...no such problem in the H&R.

I also just grabbed 200 Nosler 110 Varmingedon bullets cause they where 21$ a box. Hope these expand...

You gonna try those Noslers subsonic?
Ill load them super sonic first... but I'll likely try then subsonic too.

Im kinda excited at the 90G XTP subsonic. ;) (Got 200 of those too. )

I hate to guess but I would think if the sierra 110gn HP wouldn't then the Nosler will not either. But you never know til you try it. If we could weaken the jacket a little it might.

I found a few boxes of the old Speer 100g PLINKER made for the 30 carbine. I also have the 110HP's and 110 SP's from the days when I had a 30 Carbine.

I don't see anyone using any 30Carbine bullets... anyone try them?

I have a couple boxes of the 90g XTP and loaded the TB loads just need range time...

I think I'll try the Unique 5g and a 100 plinker, aughta work. Any comments?

I would like to find some of those 86g bullets too. :)

EDIT: Quick look on Midway found the 86g INSTOCK! LOL

The 86gr Mauser bullets won't expand subsonic. I posted a pic of one that turned itself inside out when pushed to ~2400fps with 16gr of 2400. I figured it'd be a fun supersonic varmint bullet.

I've also looked at those plinker bullets. I'd like to see what they do as far as expansion at sub velocity. Shoot some water jugs and post a pic up.

5gr of Unique is supersonic with 150gr bullets for me out of a 16" barrel. It will be well above sub with that 100gr bullet.

Happy shooting, sounds like you're having fun.

I agree with steve, with a 100gn bullet I would start with 4.5gn of unique.

I loaded some of your Trail Boss loads and found them quiet. But dirty. (Typical TB) Looking for same with this loading. What do you suggest?

BTW WHY ISNT THIS A STICKY YET?

we did get a sticky. Once you get a load refined as a single shot sub load using light bullets put it in the sticky thread. This one is just for experimenting and discussion.

If this was directed at me, I haven't posted any Trailboss loads.

With 100gr bullet and Unique I'd go from 3.8-4.5gr and check for accuracy and pressure.

HUH.. Thought it was you... I saw same loading in a Hodgdon manual and tried it. 4.5G and the 90G bullet. I haven't fired for accuracy, but three shots at a knot on a tree... yup hit it three for three. :)

If I have a vote, it deserves a sticky!
