Unique was clean in my RAR as well. It is a weird powder, big flakes. I read that a lot of people had trouble with it metering. I ran it through a FA Intelidropper. After the first powder calibration I had several over/under errors but after a second powder calibration it worked flawlessly for 50 rounds.

Ok. Got one subsonic load settled.
Ruger American Ranch, 16.250" barrel

Brass: Norma 1X, trimmed to 1.358" +-
Primer: CCI 450
Bullet: Hornady 190 Sub-X
6.0 Unique
2.070"**

Avg MV (59 rounds) (average of averages): 993
Average (of averages) ES: 24
Average (of averages) SD: 9.6
Group size @ 100 yds: Best was .5", average was 1.125"
Group size @ 200 yds: 1.625" ( 3 shot)

Note: HP-38 results are very close to Unique. 5.9 Grains of HP-38 give me about the same MV as 6 grains Unique.
** COAL is a moving target with these bullets. Bullet OAL varies quite a bit, but the seating depth is pretty consistent, even though COAL varies when loaded. When I start to load a batch, I find a bullet with 1.302" OAL and use that to set my seating stem. I then seat all of the other bullets using that setting. COAL will vary, but seating depth will be pretty consistent.
