Rainier Arms barrels

Post by brobin10 »

Looking to do a make over on my old DD M4V3. Has anyone here had any experience with Rainier Arms barrels? Is the ultra match series really worth it?

Thanks

In 5.56 their Ultra Match is AN INCREDIBLE barrel. They are
made from Shilen blanks. Excellent is an understatement. Now
in the 300BLK, they are still make from the great blanks but
they use the 1-8" twist which is good enough for all but the
heaviest of sub sonic loads. Since I am using 220-240 grain
cast bullets for subs, I opted to go with someone else this time.
I really decided I would rather have the 1-7" twist rather than
the better blank.

thanks for the info guys

my noveske SBR would be used primarily for subs when my can gets out of jail

i plan to use a 14.5" gun for longer distances and such

however i would shoot the 14.5 suppressed at times too i think

I ordered one of their 14.5" select barrels on sale from AIM. I haven't gotten around to building it but the barrel looks fantastic, can't wait to use it.

Anybody else have experience shooting any of their 14.5" 300 barrels? Have you shot supers and subs out of it? Suppressed/unsuppressed? Buffer weights?

I have the 14.5 with the AAC 51t pinned and welded. Ive shot supers quite a bit and a couple of subs. My suppressor is about a month away per others timing. I love it. Mine was very tight off the shelf and had to be polished up a bit for the BCG. But the barrel itself is very nice. I havent measured groups yet because it will be suppressed 100% and Id rather wait.

Sorry. Standard carbine buffer. I may need to modify once its quiet  but for now it functions just right.
