Re: AAC Lower
Yes. As a complete rifle marked 300 BLK
Re: AAC Lower
The lower is not sold on its own. Only as a rifle.

Re: AAC Lower
AR-15 or M16 dimensions? I'd like to make a post sample out of one and can't find a discernible photo.

I think you need to mill out a pocket and drill the sear hole. I have done it a few times.

Re: AAC Lower
May I ask why you guys don't sell stripped lowers by themselves?
The fact that you sell complete uppers would compliment sales quite nicely I would assume...

Re: AAC Lower
Most larger gun companies don't want to sell stripped receivers. Ruger, Colt, HK, Smith & Wesson, etc. The math does not work out, and they devalue the regular products.
Also if the lower were shipped to the same person who bought an upper, then FET would have to be added, and that is difficult to track as then AAC would need a part number for FET, which is complex as it is not always the same price.

I definitely understand the notion of devaluing the regular or complete rifles. I did think about that...the idea that one could build a rifle for less than what the retail price might be therefore lowering the resale on factory built firearms.
But the FET, Firearms Excise Tax, correct? Do you mean the FET would have to be applied to the upper as well? If someone bought an upper from someone else, not you guys, wouldn't the FET only apply on the stripped lower?
