Wyatt BR Box for Rem 700?

Post by slowfire »

Anyone tried the Wyatt BR box for the Rem 700? I'm dealing with rounds that are too short to function perfectly in he 223 Rem donor gun. The BR box is a center feed design that has feed lips positioned forward to allow it to run well with shorter rounds. Only allows 2 in the mag, but that's plenty for deer or pigs. It's supposed to be a drop in part.

I've got an email out to them, and if they think it'll work I'll probably try it. I've basically fixed ejection in the gun so now I'd like to focus on feeding!

This looks like a very interesting idea. Looking forward to seeing what you find out. I wonder if the feed lips were designed only for the 308 diameter case, or if it will work with the smaller 5.56 case diameter.

I bailed on the idea and went with a PTG bottom metal and AI mag setup. Center feed design. Works perfectly and holds 10 rounds.
