Is this the 9" or 11" rail? Would love to see pics with the 7" if you happen to have any.

Thanks, Dave.

As Todd commented, I don't, but I can throw up some additional images of variations of this one.

I've done work photography work with 45 or so manufacturers within the firearm community, my images have been used for catalogs, magazines, covers, etc. I have also shot work for the US Military. I am prior service and a full time LEO.

I now also shoot and write for Military Times. My primary focus will stay with weapons, accessories and related equipment reviews. Manufacturers can reach me through any of the boards. Have something new? Let me know.

Is that a 9" with a 10" bbl?

That rail is nice. Having A little trouble holding out for this one, the itch to complete a build is strong!!!

Rainier Arms now has the 13" NSR rail in stock for $260. They haven't announced it to the world yet, but when they do, they will sell out fast.

Of course, I made sure they got my order before telling y'all about this. 8)

$260 is not a bad price on a nice 13 inch rail, Rainier only charged $7 for shipping, I thought the damage for this rail would of been more $$

Adding on accessories with this system will be NICE.

Order says Pending, so my fingers are crossed I was fast enough.. :)

Two questions:

1) Is the NSR 7" rail is compatible with a fixed front sight set-up? My YHM two-piece rail (non free float) measures about 6.5" not including the delta ring that will get tossed in the switch-over.

2) What does "user installed heat shield" mean? Does it mean it comes with the rail and it's at the user's discretion to install it? Or, does it mean the user has to make/find one on their own?

The 7" length fits behind a carbine length fixed front sight.

The heat shield will be a bolt in accessory option when it becomes available. The NSR does not come with the heat shield. User installed just means it is made to be put in by the user, not factory riveted for example.

What's the ETA on the heat shield?
