I don't believe they did make a special mag. I bet it is engraving only.

Second, there are no feeding problems with 5.56mm mags unless you load your ammo wrong or use bullets that are too short or fat.

Copied from Ruger's Facebook page:
Yes, it will run in 5.56 mags. HOWEVER. It is possible to chamber some 300 BLK ammunition in 5.56 chambers. This is an unsafe combination. Ruger specifically provides magazines marked “300 AAC Blackout” in order to help the customer not mix up ammo, magazines, and guns. 300 BLK ammo should only be used in magazines so marked, and only fired in guns chambered for 300 BLK.

A) Firearm instructions on FB? Image

B) Nothing hints at or states different design, only labeling. Sounds like legal CYA more than technical.

At least that's how I'm reading it. But I'm only on 1st cup of coffee so far.

Guns are popping up on gunbroker so we know they're shipping.

Anyone actually laid hands on yet?

My FFL grabbed one for me and I picked it up today. Our range is closed this weekend, but I hope to be able to shoot it Weds. Comes with two 20 round mags, a set of Ruger Rings, and also comes with a rail (receiver is already drilled and tapped to mount the rail).

An accuracy test would be interesting.

Here it is. Looks just like the Mini-30 Tactical. I will probably run a few rounds through it Weds at lunch, and hopefully next weekend see how the accuracy is with an Ultradot on top.
