The magnetospeed wouldn't read all the rounds but everything cycled and locked back

6.5gr 925fps (only one read)
7.0gr 1014,1016,1015

tried some 4064 w/ 110 VMAX all cycled but no lock back and only one read
LC brass and rest same as previous post

6.0 gr 1016fps
7.0 gr no read but actually sounded quieter than the 6gr load

forgot to include in spec: Carbine buffer w/ regular spring. The carbine spring is on the way.

Finally got out to shoot my 20" AR. I tried a Hornady 150 FMJ seated to 2.20" and loaded with 16.5gr of "old" WW296. This powder is in a metal 4 lb can but it looks and smells good. I did not chrono but primers still look rounded. Accuracy was not too good, 1.25" for 3 shots at 100 yards. I'll increase the charge a bit and try it again.
I also loaded 16.5gr of above powder behind a 155gr AMAX seated to 2.26" and my last three shot group was a little over 0.4" at 100 yards. Again, the primers were rounded and pressure seems low to moderate. I'll try this again and increase the charge until I see some more pressure. All brass ejected at 4 o'clock and 3-4 feet, does not seem over-gassed.

Gun info:
20" Shilen Barrel
1-12" twist
Carbine gas tube
0.110" gas port(really about 0.108")

I finally got my chrono working and ran the above loads. The 150 fmj was 2000 fps and the 155 A-Max was 1985 fps. I also tried the 140 gr Sierra Match King seated to 2.100" over 16.5 gr 296 and it clocked 2050 fps.

208 A-max over 10.6 grains 1680,rem primers.Less then 1 inch at 50 meters.7 shot groups,1060 fps.Sounded very good out of my DCA 16 inch upper with mystic.Only thing I could hear was the bolt cycling and the bullet slap the backstop.

I'm running a CMMG 16" rifle with a carbine tube. I loaded and tested some of my own loads and found consistent success with cycling and speed.

Brass: 300BLK Rem. factory
Bullet: 147 gr. FMJBT - U.S. Pulldown Polished
Primer: CCI 450 Magnum
Powder: H110 at 16.0 gr.
COAL: 2.140"
No Crimp on the brass

I ran 10 rounds through the chrony, 1890, 1888, 1878, 1893, 1882, 1896, 1889, 1836, 1896, 1885. Avg - 1883.5 fps. Energy - 1181.2 ft/lbs.
I still need to dial in more for accuracy. I can bring the speeds up a bit more, but I thought this was a great place to be sitting for a starting point.

As before, all loads fired through a 16" 300 Fireball upper with carbine gas. Brass is Remington 221 Fireball. Primers are CCI 41.

1. Speer 125 grain TNT - COAL 2.050" - 18.4 grains H110 - 1 shot - 2190 fps - BADLY BLOWN PRIMER
Quickload predicts 47.5K psi and 2143 fps

2. Lapua 100 grain HPCE - COAL 1.885" - 17.6 grains H110 - 1 shot - 2337 fps - looked like a light primer swipe, decided not to shoot any further H110 loads
Quickload predicts 46K psi and 2267 fps

3. Nosler 125 grain Ballistic Tip - COAL 2.150" - 5 shots each - I think this is the limit for 1680, no improvement by upping the powder charge

I have shot a lot of 1680 and it tends to be the most miserably inconsistent powder in the 300.

The best I have tested has been Lil'Gun with single digits SD. I have shot about a 1/2 pound of this powder with my 240 grain cast bullets and with my load they run 1,025 fps. I have yet to see a velocity that is over 1,030 fps or under 1,020 fps. I think with consistent numbers like this it take one more variable out of finding a accurate load. It may or may not contribute to accuracy but is can't hurt.

Next would be H4227 which gives SD's in the low teens with my cast bullets. A 2015 even cycles my gun and gives decent accuracy.

I am running a 16" barrel with a 093" gas port with a pistol length gas system.

Just shot some 155gr Nosler CC bullets over 17.5gr WW-296 and CCI small rifle primers. OAL = 2.20"
No picture but three shot group at 100 yards is just under 0.5" and this was shot with a 1-4 Burris TAC-30 scope. Barrel is 20", 1-12" twist Shilen with a carbine length gas setup. Velocity is a little over 2100fps. This barrel seems to be very accurate at 100 and 200 yards with 150gr SST, 155gr A-Max and 155gr CC bullets. When I get a chance, I'll move out to 300 and 400 yards to see if my slow twist starts to open groups up( I think it will).
