DO NOT GET MCGOWEN! Im not saying that to promote my buisness but they are crooks and almost crashed our buisness when we started up. Montana Rifleman will be making BLK barrels, for a better price with better barrels, get them instead. They are from the same town, and all of the reall machinist work for montana rifleman, a bunch of kids that have no real machining skills, and it shows.
Cut a Mcgowen barrel in half and see how far off concentricity it is.

Ill call them today and have Phil contact you. They have both BLK reamers and will make barrels to your prints, as well as standard offerings.

I researched them and came out with a fairly good opinion of their barrels. Plus, $240 for a pre-fit 700 barrel, threaded is no brainer. I guess we shall see when it arrives.

Im not saying that they dont make any good barrels at all, because, on occasion, but, they are crooked as hell.

Well I ordered a Savage Prefit 300 BLK a while back from McGowen. I just got confirmation that it is on its way.

What exactly does "pre-fit" mean?
