Be advised that Dillon has stated that the RT1500 is a case TRIMMER, not to be used to cut down 223 to 300 Blackout.

I use a HF chop saw and a jig to cut the brass down. A Giraud Tri-Way will do the rest.

Yet, Dillon has a video on their website where they are doing EXACTLY that, and are saying that is what the RT1500 trimmer is for. Their 300BLK trim die sizes the case as well. Not sure where your info comes from, but you might want to check back with Dillon.

you might be thinking about their older rt1200 maybe? because on dillons site it does say you can use the 1500 for trimming 223 to 300 blk.

also, i ran across this toolhead that eliminates the need for that plastic vacuum attachment.

with these trim dies it's a 2 step process though, since you do a 'rough' cut first, then the final trim with die #2. if anyone is interested i may post a vid

You are correct. I was thinking of the RT1200.
