I prefer 1680 or Shooters World for bullets 150 and up with very few exceptions. It’s more stable and predictable than 296 or Lilgun.

The load in the other thread was 23.5 gr of Shooters World Blackout compressed .010”. 2170 fps in a 12.5” Model 7.

That’s a stout load.

Speer data with 1680 is a good place to start.

Which powder?

If it’s 1680 or Shooter’s, I would start with the powder just into the neck or 21 grains, which ever is higher in the neck in a fired case. Get the bullet just resting on the powder and measure the length. When you size the case, it will give just about the right compression. You will need to adjust the length about every .3 grains.

If you’re using an AR, I would probably want about .180” bullet in the neck min.

I just got 2 boxes to them. I'm pretty busy right now but I will load some up asap. they do look kinda weird. the jacket almost looks like powder coating or some kind of sintered metal rather than copper or guilding jacket material.

They're slippery, almost like moly. Looks like they like speed. The faster i push them the smaller the group gets. That's a good thing. Right around an inch so far wih the CVA,the AR about 2" at 100yds.

I would like to see what the expansion of this bullet looks like. This looks very promising. Any chance of recovering a few from water jugs or a rump roast?
