I have the 4 cavity pb 311365 and have to shoot any. I've casted and hi tek coated a bunch.

NOE is having a sale on their 30cal molds. Thinking about the 230gr 311 in 4 cavity. Only gas checked are left. I wouldn't check them as they'd be pushed less than 1500fps.

What would be a better mold, 311230 gas check or the 311247 plain base?

Depends on what you want it for. Subsonic I am getting away from gas checks and running a flat base Noe 247 HP that ends up in the 220 range. I've had the 247 plain base mold for a while without using it much but just got the HP version.
