300AAC Blkout First Day!

After my first range trip today I am sorry I waited so long to try this round, I let the doubters and naysayers sway me!
I bought a PSA 7.5" upper and a PSA Pistol lower and added a Vortex I already had, loaded some ammo and headed to the range. I took one of the longer pistol bays where I could shoot out to 45 yards as this is well within my normal pig killing range.

It was awesome. Recoil was mild, I didn't feel any blast and it was very accurate. My old eyes don't see the dot plainly, it looks more like a winged Pegasus  but I still was getting 2" groups from a makeshift rest and all the brass landed in one pile.

I had ammo I loaded with Hornady 125 SST, Speer TNT 125gr and Accura 120gr spitzer plated bullets. AR functioned perfectly through about 80 rounds and it was fun to shoot. I think it is going to be a great compact weapon for when I am walking the creeks, traveling on the ATV or climbing into a tree stand.
Trigger was not bad but not as nice as a couple of Elftmanns I have on other AR's but it is fine for now. Better trigger might tighten the group a hair but it is still pretty dang good.
I spent a lot of time reading on this forum and it was a big help. I think Georgia Pigs might be in for a hard time soon!

It's a Shooter! Just arrived! PSA 8.5" classic shockwave AR-15 300 blackout pistol kit
PSA 8.5" Pistol-Length 300AAC Blackout 1/8 Phosphate 6" Lightweight M-Lok Classic Shockwave Put it together and loaded up a few rounds. 25 and 50 yrds forgot my 3X magnifier! My reloads 14 grains of Lil Gun 147 gr fmj's I was STANDING shooting over the bed of the truck on a towel. Windy and 108. I shot at 50 and turned the elevation down I thought. Nope turned it higher. Fixed it, shot another round group, In the black. 125's go almost 2000 fps so there is a .30 carbine ballistics. 200 go just over 1000 fps and MY 147 went 1700 fps and factory was 1800 fps I didn't load max. I was a grain and a half under I think. tried some .30 Carbine 110 fmj's and they almost wouldn't stay on the target. Resized AK 123gr fmj's worked fine! Loaded up some 155gr HP's and some 125 and 130 gr fmj's and HP's. Will try them soon!
