Hornady 190 sub-x powder?

I've been checking the Wedge 180 H.P. and oddly enough the ogive to base consistancy is way better than the flat points.

I don’t have any of the hollow points, are they made from a different form, still 180 grains. Or are the 180’s drilled and weigh less?
Sounds like they are a completely different bullet.

How are they different dimensionally?

They have to put the lead from the hole somewhere.

If they are the same external size and shape, then they are more dense and that may explain the better accuracy. Less chance of a void, better balance. Or they use a different alloy in the wire.

Are these for plinking or will they expand good for hunting? Since Hornady won't sell their 190 sub bullets, am looking for a similar weight bullet for sub reloading.

Others have tested them do a search for the posts. I talked to Shane at Rainier Ballistics and was told bolt F.P. & H.P. aere the same lead mix

Update on RL7 and Wedge 180's:

Had time Sunday morning to make a very quick trip to the shooting lane ( only 100 yards ) I bunped the load to 11.3 grains for the flat point and kept 11.2 grains for the hollow point, At 50 yards two shots in 1/2" then with a 7" drop out to 100 yards two shots in 3/4", Odin works gas block at 4 clicks out from closed. Again better grouping with the hollow points. With the ground thawing around here tractor work will take priority so who knows when I'll post again.

the best accuracy I have had in my novensky pistol gas upper was with factory hornadt sub-x 190 grain. only had 1 box so I took three
slow shots off of a bench at 100 yards and all holes touching. I have tried a lot of reloads and never anything near that good. I too am trying to find the type powder they used, but haven't had any luck so far. I have a load with 220 gr. plated barrys with 10.0 of wc690
that is a steady 2 inch.

I have never tried a volume conversion with an actual capacity and numbers also
