I was hoping to put the silencer flush with the end of the chassis but that would leave me with a ~1.95" barrel. I might do one that length just to see if it will stabilize a bullet. But in the end I am going to add an inch so I can add a rail section to the barrel for a bipod. The barrel will be very shot, definitely under 3.25" and likely under 3" once all is said and done. It will use a 8 twist Green Mountain cut from a blank and I will be shooting my 265 grain bullets out of this.. I am just waiting on the chamber reamer now.
I am also waiting on a Shockwave 2.0 for it. Not sure if that scope will remain on it.
It is a American Rifle Company Nucleus sitting in an XLR Carbon chassis with a warmed over Remington trigger. I originally bought it to build a 6 Creedmoor but I need to build a pistol first so I can go back and forth so Blackout it is. Who knows I might leave it as is and build a Savage in 6CM.

Cool little project Dolomite, how do you like the nucleus? I almost ordered one when they did the big pre sale.

King? Hell, DS you are the Nordic God of unusual I think I'll put you and GDS ( the Babylonian God of unusual ) in a centrifuge, add a sprinkle of dellet ( just for a bit of logic ) and a teaspoon of Smus, just to be weird, and see what comes outDolomite_Supafly wrote:I am the king of unusual, done a lot of weird projects in the past.

Re: My newest 300 Blackout
So, I can wholeheartedly NOT recommend the SB Tactical hinge. It has a serious wobble from the hinge pin being too small or the hole being too big. Time to look for another option.

Have you tried contacting them about that hinge?
SB would be crazy to put out a poorly designed product that is such a potentially popular item.
BTW, really interesting build
