ARMSCOR PRECISION ammo is TERRIBLE!

Post by td63 »

Hello everybody,
I bought 40 rounds of ARMSCOR PRECISION ammo, FMJ 147 Gr, for $44.00 just to plink with and it turned out to be the worst ammo I have ever shot! It deposited this "brown crud" throughout my upper and into the lower to the point that I had to butt slam the rifle to get the last few rounds out. It smoked so bad that I could have used these rounds to conceal a battle field!

Has anybody else had this kind of experience with this company?

Sounds like someone is using surplus combloc powder. Maybe they are pulling down 7.62x54 or x39 and using the powder and bullets to get more profit by building 300 Blackout.

GENIUS!

Buy 7.62x39 for $0.25 /rd.
Pull bullet, dump powder into 300 BLK case.
Insert Pulled Bullet.
Sell 300BLK for $1.10/rd)
?????
PROFIT!

Sorry, I don't have pictures. I should have and next time something like this happens I will. I just wanted to clean this crap off my 300 as soon as I got home. Terrible terrible terrible! This has really pushed me into doing a 7.62X39 upper in pistol form. I have a rifle in 7.62X39 that I built and it works so nice I figured I'll try a pistol for the fun of it. The 300 has a 5 1/2 inch barrel and has worked great until the other day with that crap ammo. I built it just to see if it would work. Haven't tested accuracy yet but I'm not expecting much.

I to had issues with Armscor 147. They wouldn’t load correctly.

Pretty dismal quality for ammo that costs $1.10 a round.

A five star rating and sells for .40 a round.

Perhaps they’re doing product improvement and the ammo is much better than it was five years ago when this thread was relevant

Whats even betterer is someone that will actually create an account to bitch about something then never come back.
I like to occasionally search user names when I see this just to see how many forums they bitched on.
