CMMG micro cqb rip brace
This looks to be one heck of a combo for AR pistol use.
- length is 1.25” shorter than standard.
- CMMG rip adjuster for your preset length
- SBA3 brace which is currently one of the best braces
- reasonably priced (brace, tube, buffer, spring and castle nut included)

Next question, can it use the Maxim PDW JP silent springs?
SBA3- CMMG rip brace - in Maxim defense PDW length!

Seems like a bit of a premium over street price to not have to push a button but maybe that's just me.10Driver wrote:CMMG micro cqb rip brace

Standard SBA3 (tube and brace) - $169 MSRP
New micro model (tube, brace, buffer, spring and castle nut) - $199 MSRP
Are you considering the $30 difference in MSRP to be a premium? Even with the additional functionality and components?
FWIW, last SBA3 was $95 “street price” and still required a buffer, spring end plate and a castle nut. That cost more than $30 in “street price” for those parts.
Re: SBA3- CMMG rip brace - in Maxim defense PDW length!
To be honest, I didnt notice the extra parts so 199 - 95 was the math I did.10Driver wrote:Flatliner wrote:Seems like a bit of a premium over street price to not have to push a button but maybe that's just me.10Driver wrote:CMMG micro cqb rip brace

To be honest myself, I initially thought I’d screwed it up. I read it pretty fast myself!Flatliner wrote:To be honest, I didnt notice the extra parts so 199 - 95 was the math I did.10Driver wrote:Flatliner wrote:

I was real close to pulling the trigger on a Maxim brace. This is less expensive, lighter weight, thinner, similar or better functionality and looks to be a great idea.
My only concern is buffer and spring options that pair well for 300 Blackout.

I have had very good luck with the JP silent spring. I got the adjustable kit with mine but I have never had to switch springs until I got the low mass BCGs.10Driver wrote:To be honest myself, I initially thought I’d screwed it up. It has brought some sales to a screeching halt!
Turns out those that were buying braces to convert into butt stocks (modified with extended butt pads) and then using those stocks (with the now extended LOP) to convert their pistols into NFA items, aren’t buying these anymore.
Nice “click bait” by the lawyer with ESQUIRE after his name.
Glad to read that the individual was acquitted (perhaps with the help of a lawyer who doesn’t use esquire) and won’t experience further butt hurt.
BTW, I only passingly read some of the details, so please don’t consider anything above too seriously!

Well, I supppse you can get links to the indictmemt and motion in limine in plenty of other places if NFA lawyer websites make you mad.
