I'm all about innovation and thinking outside the box.
This seems like a poor investment for everyone involved though.
Who knows, this may lead to unintended discoveries and development in the 300 BLK.
I like to be optimistic.
It is much more positive for all.

I get it the 300 Blk was beat up because it was to be a CQB rifle/pistol and have no long range accuracy. So now take a considered long range cartridge "5.56" give it only 50yard so so accuracy along with +5" 100 yard groups and charge the customer $2000.00 for a great deal. Line up and lay down your money

Seems like I read somewhere that there was speculation about a rifled flash-hider to screw on the end of the barrel to impart a bit of spin stability.
Another theory was a rifled bullet like some slugs are for shotguns slugs. Cannot see this working with straight rifling.

My guess would be either of those options would make it worse. You would end up with about the same results as using a used bullet. Not sure how cross hatching the grooves would effect flight, but my guess is negatively.hardcase wrote:Seems like I read somewhere that there was speculation about a rifled flash-hider to screw on the end of the barrel to impart a bit of spin stability.

Those rounds are not available, and I was quoted $1-$2 per round, which is a WAG. Seems like an awful lot of contortions and work to avoid $200 tax.

Between the lack of accuracy, and the retail price, this thing is a loser.
Unless they really just did it for the free advertising.
