Vihtavouri N110, clean and accurate
So i use N110 for 110 and 125 grain bullets at 17.4 to 17.6 grains with fantastic results thru a 8” barrel with AAC supressor. No change for me in POI at 100-150 yards. Try it, good velocity with no upset stomach, your results may vary,,,,,

This isn't a new revelation, but glad to see someone else using VV powder. This is certifiable's favorite sub powder.

LOL...
Welcome to the club!
For subs, try N120.
N110 = Outstanding supersonic loads
N120 = Incredible performance in subsonic loads

Velocity isn't everything, but I just cant get it to the velocities I can from 296/H110.
Accuracy is fine with both.
Last summer I worked up loads with the Z-Max bullet cause I got a bunch so cheap. best I was able to get was JUST 2K. They shot well enough from the RARR and the AR. But my 296 load hits 2400+. Being mine are hunting loads, that 400 fps equates to couple hundred FPE and I want all of that I can get.
If I was just punching steel/paper, it would be completely different story as the powder is nice, clean and accurate.
I haven't used it much since.

No love for N105 and Tinstar yet
As far as velocity loss with N110 vs H110 I've only experienced about 10%, but then again I have never pushed it to the max with a 110 bullet so I can't say where the top end is.
2000 fps+ is easy with a 125, so if that's all your getting with a 110, you've left a lot on the table.
Good that more people are using the Vihtavuori powders. That helps insure they keep importing it.

300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

17.0 Grains of N110 with a 125 SMK in a 10" barrel = ~ 2,100 fps.dellet wrote:No love for N105 and Tinstar yet

Yes, it leaves a lot on the table for velocity, but I haven't seen a more accurate powder.
For MATCH ammo, I would consider it to be optimal.
That is for both Supers and Subs.
Vihtavouri announced that they have some new "High Energy" powders coming out in 2018.
They are for the Big Bore Magnums, but it is hopeful that they might develop one for 300 BLK. (4,000 J/g ratio)
N110 is already at the high end for energy to weight ratio though. (3,950 J/g ratio)

One other thing that most folks don't know.
All Vihtavouri powders produced this year forward, contain copper fouling remover.

Yeah, I wasn't very clear on that. Sorry.Dr.Phil wrote:17.0 Grains of N110 with a 125 SMK in a 10" barrel = ~ 2,100 fps.dellet wrote:No love for N105 and Tinstar yet

There was an earlier post saying that the best they could get with N110 and a Zmax, a 110 bullet, was 2000 fps. That was the reference for leaving a lot on the table.
Even with a 10% reduction in max, which is a high but round number, 2400 should not be that hard to reach in a 16" barrel and more in a bolt gun.
