220 grain expanding subsonic Bullets are back

Post by blackoutbullets »

We are back, having upgraded our machines and manufacturing our own jackets. We have been able to reduce our prices $40 per 100 and $375 per 1000. Also we will be bringing back our FMJ's by the end of the week.

Yeah, I guess that would probably help.

They look good but not a lot of comments or data out there on them and your FB page goes back a couple of years.

I moved state, updated my machinery and started making my own jackets.Which is a process that takes time. So I was down for over a year.

As the manufacturer of the bullet, you should be able to provide some load data for those that want to purchase your product and reload. What powders, charge weights and COAL did you test for stability and bullet performance?

Load data for 220 grain SMK's works well and that is what I use. Customers use different COAL for the best accuracy in their particular rifle.

I have used both the 220SMK and 220gn expanding Blackoutbullets.

The load I settled on for a 12.5" barrel was;

11.9gns of ADI2207 (Hogdon's rebadges this powder in the USA as 4198)
OAL 54mm
1,013fps

For the 220SMK is;
11.1gns of 2207
OAL 55.5mm
1,020fps

To be honest I have not noticed any difference between the two when hunting.
