What is your super sonic load?
18.1 Grains of 300MP, I can't remember the COAL, but it hits a milk jug like a full power .308 load.

Look nice but I can't use jacketed or hollowpoint ammunition indoors

My mate has a Lyman #C309-150-F which he loads for his Win 30-30, anyone use this bullet.

I was shooting 165gn RNFP the other day in front 5gn Unique, it still sounded loud (I'd dropped from 5.5gns) and the primers were being pushed ever so slightly (showing signs of too much pressure, I'm sure)

It's a shame there's nothing in Lyman's cast bullet handbook even after all this time. I'd consider buying Trailboss as I can use it in my 30-30 as well

Thanks

1. Only use powder coated bullets. Either buy them or make them if you can. As an alternative use a dip lube like Lee Liquid Alox.
2. Use bullets sized to .310 or .311" to get a better seal with the bore.
3. Flair the case mouth to avoid shaving the bullet when it is seated. Use a Lee Universal Case expanding Die. You can get accessory expander plugs from Noe Bullet Molds that fit the Lee Die.

If you use a Lyman "M" die, use one for the .32-20 as you will be loading larger than normal 30 caliber bulets.
4. For indoor use, you do not need heavy bullets.
Keep checking this site for when they make another run of their excellent 123g Zombie bullets. http://lucky13bullets.com/index.php?mai ... 20a&page=2
Just a few examples, if they are available to you, where live.

You should have good results with any powder coated, flat based, .310-.311 bullet, seated out as far as possible, using a pistol powder.
Also: Powder coated bullets will keep your suppressor cleaner.
And: Don't waste your time with the Lee 230. I have had two molds and neither of them were accurate. The bullets are undersized and they don,t have enough contact area with the barrel and the boat tail is unnecessary. The Noe 311-230-FN (PB), (without gas check), http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_in ... 2rvjacgn45 is everything the Lee should be, although the nose is a little larger than needed for Powder Coating). I also have had good results with the Noe 311-150-SP (PB).

Thanks for the reply 80hp, I'll try to answer some if not all

I'm using cast bullets that have been lubed, I haven't leaded the barrel yet to find my optimal bullet size.

I am flaring the case mouth to allow easy access to the bullet (cast only)

I haven't bought a mould just yet as I want to find out what works before investing in one, The NOE mould above look promising though ( can imagine shipping to the UK would be painful!)
