I generally use P Mags for everything 223 and 300blk AR. In fact I have dozens of P Mags and like 4 GI mags and that's it.
I have been shooting a lot of different kinds of subs lately, even some handloads made by some friends.
I have always noticed that 20 round P Mags do not feed subs perfectly. I usually get at least 1 failure per 20 round P mag. I have never had a problem with the 30 round P mags and subs until recently. All factory stuff feeds perfect, but handloads not so much. I'm sure it is the ammo.
But just curious what mags are you guys are using these days for Subs?

I also like the P Mags and in 20rnds too. But I have more 10's.
I don't think I have even run subs thru a 20 yet... no particular reason, guess I don't need that many on tap. :)The 10's seem to be fine to me.
PLUS I like how easy it is to mark them.

I run subs through a 20 round pmag when shooting from a bench with a bipod.
Zero failures of any sort.

Lancer awm and Aluminum brownells mags with magpul follower are my top 2, not just for 300blkout but for 5.56 as well. My pmags are collecting dusts these days.

I shoot the noe 230 out of 10 round p mags that have been changed to 5 round capacity. Zero issues.
Re: Best Mags for 300BLk Subs?
Regular ole gi mags and I don't have any problems.
Re: Best Mags for 300BLk Subs?
Troy battlemags seem to work well for me.

are your 20 rounders gen2 pmags and your 30's gen3's?
is there a specific subsonic load/bullet you're having trouble with? or all of them?
