Making ammunition scarce or expensive has been a wet dream of the Democrats for a very, very long time. I can remember bills being introduced to federally tax ammunition at anywhere from 50 cents to $5 per round, not per box, in an attempt to limit access to ammunition. This ban will be put in place and will remain in place forever. The ATF has probably been told they will be taken care of and not to worry about the lawmakers. Heck, I bet most republicans are not as concerned as they let on.

This is not over, wait until Obama begins his executive order campaign in the last couple of months he is in office. That is what really worries me because if he puts them in place then is out of office it is unlikely any other lawmakers will change it. Maybe someone else knows but I have never heard of, or read about, an executive order being repealed. Not to mention all those criminals he will pardon on his way out.

The republicans are no better than any of the democrats either. Both sides want to control the populace of the country through the use of legislation. We are already a socialist nation and in another 20 years communist Russia will look like a nice place to live.

Until they catch on to those of us to reload our own ammo you can always stock up on primers, powder and bullets and "roll your own" for a lot less then the factory stuff. Of course once they do catch on and start putting a tax on those things then that'll be as bad as trying to buy factory so stock up while you can.
No Matter Where You Go, There You Are.

They already have and new laws are in place that do affect us reloaders.

First is shipping from overseas. Before a ship could have as much powder as it could hold. Now a ship is only allowed to transport one shipping container of powder. That is why there is such a shortage of powders from overseas. And that is why those powders have increased at a faster pace than domestic powders.

Second, those that transport powder on public roadways as part of a business must have insurance specifically for that and it is expensive. I have a good friend and he said it was increased to $1 million dollars of coverage per vehicle.

Third, according to that same friend all drivers must be a certified hazmat handler/driver. He said all his drivers must go through the training and he said it is thousands of dollars for that training. He said it must be renewed periodically and the renewals cost as much as the initial training.
