AAC is a pretty strong name in the industry and Remington is not thought of as highly as it was. Dropping the AAC brand name would require the lift generated by the wings of an entire flock of morons. I'd be very shocked.

Over time, I'd hate to have anyone think I simply own a Remington anything, let alone my go to firearm. AAC better be here to stay

I think this is having an impact if only by perception. A friend is looking at another company( as I was ) due to the rumors and scuttle of employees. Not to mention the WO that got lost in the move for plinking ammo a few years back.
