300blk bolt guns

Post by KingIX »

Found two for sale
a rem 700
and a aac rem model 7

The 700 was bull barrel and had a grayish stock

The 7 was black stock adjustable cheeck riser
and had a rail for a scope
Both had threaded barrels

What is the going rate for these both new
and is one better than the other

They want 799. For the 799
or 879 for the model 7aac

I like the 7 because its not a heavy barrel
ie lighter and has a few things going for it

But the 700 looked nice as well

All a pipe dream till i sell another rifle to make room in my safe

No need for all the extra bulk of the 700 with the 300blk round, the 7 is of optimum size for the round IMHO

The M7 has been plagued with ejection issues from its very introduction and recent purchasers are still reporting issues. The 700 is quite new but there hasn't been any reported ejection difficulties that the M7 has been experiencing.

I just acquired a Rem 700 SPS NIB off gunbroker for $785. I'm waiting for scope bases and looking for a good optic (Would like a Nikon P-300, but they still seem to be "vaporware"). I never considered the Micro-7 due to the rampant ejector issues reported. I really like the Remmy and I have another 700 VTR in .223 that's a tack driver. Mounted my 51t Brakeout on the new SPS the other night and I'm itching to get it shooting with my 762 SDN6 when my stamp arrives.

Just to set the record straight, I just resolved the ejection issue on my recent model 7/micro 7.
It was the scope mount's fault.

It is a long eye relief scope so I used the LaRue QD scope mount that let me mount it forward.
The mount was blocking a smooth ejection.

I am now back to liking the Model 7.
