Good article. It will make some of the usual suspects on barfcom have fits.

Doesn't everything that isn't 5.56 or 7.62x51?QuietMike wrote:Good article. It will make some of the usual suspects on barfcom have fits.

Re: DD review
Good read.
Re: DD review
I've seen better reviews posted here by the members of this site. Other than the quips from the DD spokesman and the writer's personal ancedotes you could have regurgitated this article from sales literature posted on DD's web site.
And yes, the 300 haters are no doubt in a tither. Wait til they expound on the few negatives in the article. That's what they'll take away from it.

I have not seen anyone else claim, nor have I noticed, that supersonic 300 BLK was dirtier than 5.56mm.
Re: DD review
I have 500 rounds down range so far. Mostly my Lil'Gun handloads. I have noticed zero difference in "dirtiness" between the 5.56 or 300BLK.
I shoot strictly supers and to be honest, I am not BIG on gun scrubbing so...

16" carbine using the CMMG 1 in 7 twist barrel.
Much joy.

I thought that was odd also. I don't claim to have fired more Blackout than most anyone else as the writer did also, but in the almost 1,000 rounds of mixed subs and supers I've fired, both with and without a can, I haven't noticed any difference than any other caliber fired in the same manner... with or without the can. I guess I'm lucky again in the fact that my gun isn't sensitive to different mags either.

Re: DD review
I always prefer when I get to proof read 300 BLK articles. I can catch a lot of stuff.
Re: DD review
I looked through the artical the other day in a store, not much I haven't read before. If you want to know about the round the best way is to shoot it. Everyone of my friends that have shot mine want one. A buddy I havnt seen in awhile called yesterday wanting to shoot some, so I said let me take off work and come on up. He shot my blkout with 208 subs out to 200ysds and loved hearing it smake the 8" steel plate. He was sold!
