Scope for Rem Mod 7

Post by Jim R »

For you guys that are already shooting this rig, what are you scoping it out with? I will primarily be shooting subs to paper and metal, perhaps some deer depending on the situation. Thanks, Jim R

Hard to beat a good 3x9 to 3x12 scope with target turrets for versatility. Lots of chiice in the market. Make sure to look for one with a lot of elevation adjustment and mil-dots for hold over if you're so inclined. Stick with 1/4 adjustments. 1/8 are a pain in the ass for what you want to do. You'll likely end up with a 30mm tube if you can't find a 1" with enough elevation adjustment.

I was already leaning towards a reticle like that of the Rapid Z offered with Zeiss or maybe the Horus. I have a spare Zeiss in a 4.5-14 but to me that is like putting a 200hp motor on a 15ft bass boat......Thanks for the reply. I will keep pondering a bit.

I was thinking a primary arms 4-14 with a mil dot reticle.

I woud hope it woud be easy to Zero and find holdovers.
Anyone know the crossover for supersonic zeroed subsonic zero?
