8.2" 300 blk pistol/sbr question

Post by brobin10 »

i am currently piecing together my 8.2" blk pistol while i wait a few more months on my sbr approval however I just purchased this buffer for my pistol build:

http://www.vltorstore.com/carbine-buffer/

it does not indicate a weight and i did notice on the noveske site they build theirs with a H2 buffer.....will this be okay for the pistol and then sbr or should i try and get a h2 buffer?

I'd recommend an H or H2 buffer, unless you just want to shoot subsonic without a silencer.

Mike is a great guy.

He shipped my 8.2" 7 twist Noveske upper with NSR rail on Friday.

What would you recommend if you did want to shoot sub without a can?

Hearing protection!

Why would you do that? You load subsonics and use a suppressor so no hearing protection is necessary. If you don't use a suppressor, you are back to wearing hearing protection.

There's no point, in my opinion, of ever shooting subsonics unsuppressed.

Dunno. Just trying to figure all this out. It's gonna be a while still before I get my silencer and my SBR stamps. I'm almost done getting all the parts for my pistol though.

A longer barrel would be better, 10" or 12", and a carbine buffer.
