300 BLK Newb

Post by Sabot42 »

Just purchased the 8" Noveske for my SBR. I am mapping out the upper this way:

-Pull my 10.5" LMT 5.56 barrel and put the Noveske in the LMT upper.
-Use my Existing DD M4 7.0 rail
- Order a TROS 3 lug thread adapter and use my Trident 9mm cam (subs of course)

That should do it for the upper.

What do I need to change in the lower? I have a spikes heavy buffer in the tube right now (for my 9mm upper). Is that OK?

Gonna load 500 subs myself. 220 grain the best option? Other bullet weights that shoot well subsonic? 208? 175?

THANKS!

Anything less than the 208 has not cycled reliably, and I do not know how well a pistol silencer adds backpressure.

For subsonic only you can use a standard carbine buffer.

I'd like to try 208's because I'm a big fan of the Amax and they cost a bit less.

Amax runs reliably and consistently go for it
