PWS MK116 300 BLACKOUT Piston Driven Upper 16"

Post by Blackwind »

Was over on the PWS website looking up prices on a 7.62x39 upper and saw this.

I wasn't aware they were working on a 300 BLACKOUT but they produce a 14.5 with a 51T pinned and I'm on it.

Hi-

In parsing your post/link, I noted they have full piston-driven rifles in 300 BLK @ $1599. That's not a bad price, and as far as I know their weapons are supposed to be top-notch.

Thanks-

You wouldn't like the 9.5 if you realized that the oem rails are too long to mount a 51T without taking them off and then to top it off, still too long to allow the suppressor to screw down properly. A real superb piece of engineering....let's make an upper which we have reason to believe people will use silencers on, but lets make the rails so that they prevent silencer use.....

The one I looked at was long enough to clear the rail system so when I said "10in" I just meant their short one. I want to make a form 1 can in a reflex style and may end up cutting the barrel shorter anyway. I'm going to need to sell a few things first though.

1:8 twist. Obviously an inferior, outdated design, and a complete waste of money, now that 1:7 has taken over.

A 1:7 twist barrel is said to kill things deader than the 1:8 barrel on odd numbered Tuesdays
