Got some A1680 and a pile of various heavy bullets headed this way.. The Hodgdon is way easier to aquire in this area. d:^) Schneeks..

Just loaded a laddered load of 1680 under 125 gr Nosler BTs; 19.0, 19.5 and 20.0 gr. We'll see how it shoots, but I'm hoping for 2000 fps+ out of my bolt gun. COL is 2.155" - I got that by leaving my seating die at the same setting that gives me 2.13" with the 220 gr SMK, so that should work out well!

Supposed to be 50 degrees here tomorrow, so hopefully I can try them out.

You should get 2K+ FPS with a 125 Nosler.. I found that W296/H110 yielded a higher FPS. It will still cycle a gas gun too. I think it's hard to beat W296 for the 125 and less bullets.

W680/A1680 may be a tad to slow for 130, 147 and 150 gr bullets with LillGun may be the right

I am going to try Rl-7 and A5744 once I get my Micro7 back.. it's STILL not here and shipped over a week ago! (usually takes 3 days)

AAC got 2063 fps with the 125 Nosler BT here: http://www.300aacblackout.com/resources ... CT2010.pdf

I've got N110, but not H110 and I didn't know what the conversion was. I couldn't find a starting load for N110 with the 125 gr Nosler BT - if anyone has one let me know.

I also need to step down some more with the N110 and my 220 gr SMKs in a subsonic load. 8.9 gr was giving me 1187 fps average with a 2.13 COL. If I can load around 8 gr and get good velo/accuracy, it should be a nice quiet load.

Here ya go... From Sierra..the Nosler is harder and may need caution i would start at just under 17 gr and work up. The max load may be a little more than the whisper loading.

Bullet 125 gr Sierra SPT
10“ 1:10 whisper
POWDER N110

1700....1800.....1850......1900.....1950.......2000
13.7 gr.15.1 gr..15.7 gr..16.4 gr..17.0 gr..17.7 gr

Accuracy load N110 16.4 gr
Hunting/power load 17.7 gr

H110/W296 start at 16.3 gr/1800 fps up to 19 gr/2000 fps

Hi all,

I've been working on my 300 BLK loads for a while now, and thought I would share what I have done so far. I still have a lot to do.

I have a CMMG 16" barrel in a AR-15, no can, yet. So, I've been focused on super-sonic.

Bullet............wt......Powder...wt......fps......OAL

Hornady V-Max....110gr....H-110....19.5....2340....2.068

Nosler BT........125gr....H-110....18.0....2171....2.085
Speer TNT HP.....125gr....H-110....18.5....2180....2.040
Speer TNT HP.....125gr....300MP....18.5....2126....2.040

Hornady FMJBT....150gr....H-110....16.0....1931....2.065
PPU M80 FMJBT....145gr....H-110....16.0....1921....2.080
Hornady FMJBT....150gr....H-110....16.5....1945....2.065
PPU M80 FMJBT....145gr....H-110....16.5....1974....2.075
PPU M80 FMJBT....145gr....300MP....16.5....1901....2.075
PPU M80 FMJBT....145gr....300MP....17.1....1978....2.075
PPU M80 FMJBT....145gr....300MP....17.6....2020....2.075

These are results from several days at the range with my chrono. I mention this because I did notice a little difference in average fps of the same load from different days. Probably due to temp and humidity differences, etc. All the above are averages from 5 shots.

I started with Hodgdon H-110 before they published their official data. My 110gr and 125gr were pretty close to what they published, which made me feel pretty good that I am on the right track with the rest of my loads. In most cases, I worked up to these loads from a couple grains less.

I've just started testing the Alliant Power Pro 300-MP after seeing some others post that it might be a good super-sonic powder in the 150+ weights. It would be nice if Alliant would publish some official data on 300 BLK some day. For now, I started with the same loads as I was using for H-110 and go up from there. So far, so good. I was able to push that 145gr over 2000 fps, and no signs of over pressure. I plan on running a few at 18gr just to see what the case and primer look like. But I'm pretty happy with it at 17.6gr. I'm not done testing with 300MP.

On my next range run, I'm going to run some Hornady 150gr with 300MP. I expect very similar results as the PPU 145gr, as they look the same except the 5gr diff.

I got the PPU M80 bullets pretty cheap, about 0.13 each in bulk. But, you get what you pay for. The ogive seems to be a little inconsistent with the length of the bullet. Meaning inconsistent seating depth by 0.010 or so. Not a big deal, I only meant to use them as plinker loads anyway. Just thought I'd mention it. All other bullets I used so far have seated very consistently. I'm using Lee dies in a Dillon 550B.

So far, the 110gr V-Max has been the most accurate. The TNT seems pretty good as well. I need more testing with the others before commenting on them.

After a lot of looking around, I decided my end goal in super-sonic is to safely get each of these bullet weights at these velocities or faster out of my AR-15.

110gr @ 2300 fps
125gr @ 2200 fps
135gr @ 2100 fps
150gr @ 2000 fps
168gr @ 1900 fps

So, I still have some more work to do. I hope this helps. I'll post again after doing some more testing.

I think the 300MP is going to work out well. I was not done working the 125gr TNT, and expect it should go over 2200fps with out any pressure signs. I'm just wondering how high it will go.

Just laddered up a load to 18 gr, which is slightly compressed. Compressed loads are pretty common in 7.62x39mm from what I've read, so I'm not too concerned. I'll watch for pressure signs for sure, and the 700 is a pretty strong action.
