At the Silencer Summit that we and Remington hosted in August, we had a Rem Model-7 that was chambered in 300BLK. Very nice shooting gun.

Yeah I noticed that rifle on the youtube video and immediately pitched a tent in my pants when I saw it. I just wanted to see if that was actually a planned project, or just a demo.

This is all very, very exciting.

1. What thread pitch?
2. Will the 220gr stay subsonic in the 16"?

It's worth asking. What's the difference between this brass and 300 whisper. So far I'm seeing little difference between this and JD Jones 300 Whisper.....

We all know I'm not the only one who wants to know the difference.....

I'm wondering the same.

Can I fire 300 AAC Blackout ammo in a 300 Whisper/300/221 chamber?

I understand they aren't standardized, but lets say someone already has a Noveske 300 Fireball barrel. Can I shoot this stuff?

A case drawing would be helpful maybe.

Regardless, I'm glad to see it standardized and I'm looking forward to see how this takes off.

Since I don't have the chamber drawings for most of the wildcat chambers, I cannot say for certain you can shoot in it. I do have a drawing for RUAG 300 Whisper ammo, and that is a fit for our chamber. So I can say you may shoot RUAG ammo in our chamber. I will try to get Noveske a drawing for our ammo and they can determine if they want to recommend it for their uppers.

Rsilvers, with the goal of "standardization" across the industry and lose the "wildcat" designation of the caliber, will the caliber marking of 300 AAC Blackout (300 BLK) be royalty-free for manufacturers to caliber mark firearms?

Yes, anyone who meets the standard can use the name "300 AAC BLACKOUT" or "300 BLK" without permission or royalty.
