Great balls of fire

Been doing some night shooting and noticing the firing balls my new build throws. All SOLGW minus the Voltor MIUR upper cuz I reload. If the off chance one goods boom I like having the extra meat that upper provide between the round and my face. Back to it. 125gr, 18.3gr H110, COL 2.10. Griffin arm tactical break with dual lock flash suppressor directional thingy over top. The allure of 300blk was the fast powder burn so less or no flash out of a 9" barrel. It's better than 5.56 out of a shorty but if I can make it better with a new powder I'd try it. About to restock the H110 so now is the time to ask around. Or maybe it's expected no matter the powder and I'll party on.

You might try Accurate 11FS.

Similar performance as 296/H110, but less flash. The FS stands for Flash suppressant. I noticed a difference.

I haven’t used it in my 300BLK loads yet, but Accurate 11FS is the commercial name for WC297. WC297 = W296 + flash suppressant, and so it is slightly slower burning than W296.

Load details in the 150 gold dot thread, but this was 200 yards off a bipod and squeeze bag using 11FS



I seem to get pressure signs a bit sooner than 296, and it’s a bit finer powder. But starting data appears safe using 296 data. Hodgdon does have it on their data pages.

It’s worth trying it if you have it, or buying a pound.

Also works about the same for subs.

I found that thread several months back when researching American Reloading’s MP-331. According to my research, both MP-331 and 11FS are repackaged WC297.

Figuring that any flash reduction from my 10.5” 300BLK is good, and having had great luck with my dwindling H110, I got an 8# of MP-331.

I have yet to use it in 300BLK but intend to load 110-130 gr bullets with it.
