I think it was operator error, but until I can repeat it, I won’t know for sure. I just know that when you eject a round in a bolt action, pieces parts of the last round fired aren’t supposed to fall out on the bench.

Dellet, you know the BO can't handle 5000 fps.

5th week home

Post by Br549 »

This is the fifth week that I have been home, yesterday I finished up my reloading of 223 and 300blk. I have about 200 223 to reload but have used up my bullets supply.

I also have just over 1000 9mm to load but my friend who cast bullets for me won't have any done till next week sometime.

Looks like Ill have time to paint my house as soon as it warms up to 60s next week.

I sense there is about to be a shortage of Ammo boxes to hold the hundreds of millions of rounds being loaded during the lockdown.

things really haven't changed for me. I retired 3 years ago at age 57 and all I do is reload and shoot on my own property
{ honey do when I have to}. it is harder to get primers lately.

Made a bunch of BO brass. Cast a bunch from various moulds. Loaded couple hundred 170gr PB and 145 PB for the BO pistol (8.5 gr A2400). Another batch of 145gr GC 18.5 gr H1110) for the BO carbine. Now to the range - it's been open all the time.

Loading 130 grain SOST MK319 for 300 Blackout. Any suggestions for overall cartridge length. I am using H110 with Winchester small rifle primers. I have not range tested as of yet. Just loading dummies at different lengths and measuring to my
magazine. The length which measures the best is O.A.L.of 2.155 inches. Measuring some commercial loads they have been as short as 2.145 inches.
