I have a new design in hand, will be testing soon

Post by Dolomite_Supafly »

So after some snafus and some other things I have finally got a mold in hand. This is the bullet design I have been working on for a very long time.

It will be the heaviest cast bullet available for the 300 Blackout. It was designed specifically for the 300 Blackout and was designed with reliable AR function in mind. It also leaves enough space in the case for most of the common 300 Blackout powders.

Hopefully I will be casting some in the next few days. When I do I will post pictures and do some testing done.

It will weigh more than 260 grains.
It should reliably feed in any AR (providing the magazine feeds 300 Blackout reliably)
It will be stable in 10, 8, 7 and 6.5 twist barrels at subsonic velocities.
It will be easy to have a hollow point added to the nose as well.

As soon as I get some cast and powder coated I will post pictures.

And if there is enough interest I might commission a bullet maker to make them. I was working with one but things did not work out.

You are such a tease.

I am certainly interested in this bullet, especially with a hollow point.

Can't wait to see it. I guess I'll have to choose a new color just for the occasion!

Just started casting the new mold. Pure lead is dropping Bullets that are 270 grains. They look beautiful and should feed fine in an AR. Now to get some coated and take some pictures before testing.

270 grains
Nothing a set of wheels on the bottom of a 30 round mag won't cure

How long are those Dolomite?

I look forward to seeing how those workout.
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.
