what are your barrels slugging?
Mine is putting out .306-7 I was wondering cause I bought a .308 sized and am trying to figure out if I need another sized to step down my .312's that my noe mold is dropping.
Re: what are your barrels slugging?
mine is .310 throat by .301
if your sizer is smooth you should have no issues sizing down that much.
if you are pushing it through from the base like a lee, you don't have to worry about making the nose fatter.
if you are nose sizing, like with a lyman 450 you may want to get another size to step down first.
or do like me sometimes, size with lee then put in the lyman 450 for the final size if I have to step down a bunch in sizes.

Re: what are your barrels slugging?
Your barrel is slugging at .306/.307? My barrel is scheduled to be delivered Monday and that will be one of the first things I'll do. How much over groove diameter do cast normally shoot best in 300BO? "normally" speaking I'd expect 1 or 2 thou over groove diameter, but wishing to check here.
My first cast will be using an old 170 grain IDEAL 311415 mold I've had for years. I'll be powder coating rather than traditional lube - had good luck with PC in 30-30 and 45-70.
Thanks, Ken H>
