Dolo,
I've had a similar idea knocking around as designs a&b. Looking at the Lee 312-155 and 160 but adding length(add driving band low and no gas check, elongate nose, smaller diameter for coating)on both ends. The other bore rider designs I've tried are a little too tight once I started coating.
I am at it again, yet another bullet design

Design "A" looks interesting to me, if it proves to perform better than the 311-247-FN I'm currently running I'd be down

It won't be ready for Christmas deliveryDolomite_Supafly wrote: Can anyone think of any problems or things they would like to see changed.
Two small questions:
Have you been able to get a reasonable idea of weight?
I did not see a length listed, is that still unknown due to mold size?
300 Blackout, not just for sub-sonics.

With no grease grooves, your bullet looks like a good candidate for swaging. http://www.corbins.com/index.htm
Also, your new bullet design jogged my memory. I looked in my "leftover bullet stash" and found these.
Looking back at my notes, I tried these in .30-30, .308, and .30-06 (subsonic) in 2003-2004. They performed like the average cast bullet. Alberts also made hp pistol bullets, but they were not in business long..
They were lubricated with a non-sticky wax, and graphite?
length .804
nose .302
base .311
weight 154.4 gr.
