Noticed the drawing had 2 crimp grooves and lube while the proto. had 3 lube grooves, Why the difference? If they are to be powder coated crimp grooves are all that is needed and will make the bullet shorter. And if it was hollow pointed down to the rib groove it would act something like the Lehigh. DANG! Anyway I can get these next week?

The drawing is for cast and the copper one is solid copper. Those are not necessarily lube grooves. They provide a place for material to flow to when moving down the bore. The samples were mostly to test feeding.

And with that this idea is done for me. Not going to pay for licensing on something I would never sell. It was fun.

Take solace in knowing that you and Robert were serendipitously on the same track regarding bullet design...

Unfortunately, the whole concept is dead if Remington does not choose to go to production with either projectiles or moulds.
Of course, those of us that cast want to see a mould, but the thought of a very inexpensive plated cast production boolit is appealing as well.

Please don't stop dreaming DS!

No reason to stop playing today.

Like not going outside today because it may rain next month.
