I plugged my bottom pour spouts and now cast with a ladle exclusively.

I did cast a few 311414s this morning just to heat cycle the mould and get some samples. The bullets are .060" longer than the Lee C312-155s, but 5gr lighter due to the narrower nose. Mine are .303" ahead of the first driving band and .301" 1/4" further out. These may work for those who want to PC.

My mold showed up this weekend, and I got a few cast. This is a good looking bullet, that I think will work nicely in the Blackout.

My mold is dropping the bullets right at 151gr with WW alloy, driving bands are right at .311", and bore ride section at .301". I'm impressed at the accuracy of NOE's setup, this is a good quality mold. My gas check shanks are too large for my Lyman checks, at .285-.286", but I think it will be OK with Hornady checks.

Pics, with the inevitable comparison to the Lee 155. The nose of the 311414 tapers off sooner than the Lee bullet, which is a good thing for the Blackout in an AR15:

Wonder if you added a hollow point to 1 cavity it would make the point flat enough to be safe to shoot in a 30/30, make for a good 30/30 bullet also, just thinking out loud.

I bet that would work well. It could be either a hollow or flat point on all of the cavities, using cramer style pins, or NOE's rg4 pins (which I have not tried). You'd want a relatively small hollow point for a 30-30 though, unless you wanted a varmint bullet.

Was just informed that this mold is not available with a hollow point at this time, mumm was sure i saw this bullet with a hollow point else where on here, oh well canceled my order and will wait for something to come along that is hollow pointed.

You're probably thinking of the Mihec bullet from the castboolits group buy a while back; I don't remember the number, but there have been pictures of it on here recently. It sounds like a good one too.

I've cast up and HiTek coated a bunch of these. Working on loads now. What works well for those of you that have tried this boolit?

I have A1680, H110, and LilGun.

Thanks!

Hello, all
New guy here. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this bullet, and wants to share a load, ect. I have a ruger American, .and cant get anything more then a "pattern" from it. I'm sizing at .309 with a slugged bore dia. of .308. I cast for other rifles and this has me stumped. Three different powders W296 , IMR 4227 , unique , dozens of loads, Its shoots Speer 130 HPs in a clover leaf at 100, but these guys 7-8" ....at 50. any loads or suggestions.....Ed
